iOS 6 Will See Removal of YouTube App. Google Working on Standalone Version

Our license to include the YouTube app in iOS has ended, customers can use YouTube in the Safari browser and Google is working on a new YouTube app to be on the App Store.

First it was Maps and now it’s YouTube which will no longer feature as part of the upcoming iOS 6 release later this year.  For those serious about YouTube and iOS, m.youtube.com offers a much better experience than the baked in app.
