PSA: TouchNote Hacked. Change your Password
Those pesky hackers have been at it again and this time it’s Touchnote to have a security breach. The data that was accessed included your name, email address, postal address and your Touchnote order history, registered with email@example.com
From an email received from TouchNote:
Touchnote does not store your full credit/debit card number, expiry date or security code. Therefore, this information was not accessed.
The data that was accessed included the last four digits of your card number (e.g. XXXX XXXX XXXX 1234) which on its own cannot be used for making financial transactions.
As always, though, we recommend you continue to monitor your card statements and report any suspicious transactions to your card provider.
at least unlike Talk Talk customers, Touchnote had this to say
Your password has not been revealed, but we recommend you change it now
If you want to find out more about the data breach via the Important Update to Touchnote Customers - 5th November 2015 post.
For what it’s worth I’ve used TouchNote a few times and being able to create a postcard, birthday card using nothing but my iPhone no matter where I am is a great experience.
Quality wise I’d say its an improvement over Moonpig but this was back in 2013. If you have used TouchNote recently please do leave a comment below.
