It missed March, but Barclays has finally activated Apple Pay for its customers. The UK’s biggest bank flipped the switch on the service today. Wonder if this is the start of the death knell for it’s beleaguered “BPay” service?

“Barclaycard holders will be able to add their debit or credit cards to the app, and then pay using their iPhone, Apple Watch, or iPad at the UK’s 400,000 or so compatible locations.”

The Barclays addition means that all of the UK’s biggest banks are now supporting Apple Pay. NatWest, Santander, HSBC, Nationwide, Halifax, Lloyds, and RBS already support Apple’s contactless payment solution.

Instructions for getting set up with Barclays can be found on the company’s website.
